Payoff

So all the crappy time Adam & I spent replacing our two bathroom sinks has finally paid off... We successfully within one night, bought and installed the plumbing for a brand-new garbage disposer - with only two trips to home depot and only 4 items purchased:

Of course, these trips followed the "Law of Diminishing Home Depot Expense". The law is that each subsequent trip to Home Depot in the midst of a project will cost less than the previous.
Trip one:
$199 1HP In-sinkerator
$7 dishwasher connector kit

Trip two:
$0.70 PVC piping
$5.97 mini hacksaw

Now to get an electrician to install a switch and we're good to go.
So far, as much as we've dared with electricity is to replace a thermostat... I'm not quite brave enough to install a switch and hardwire the disposal on my own...

Man those in-sinkerators are nice. My parents have one, it works great.

We have a dispose-all. It sucks rotten eggs. Someday I hope to get a real honest-to-bob in-sinkerator.

Isn't doing stuff around the house fun?

Ah, yes, the home depot runs in mid project. While it is true that each subsequent trip costs less and less, if you have to make 3 or more runs in a single day, they take your photo and put you on the Do-it-yourself Wall Of Shame. I have been inducted on multiple occasions. It is sad when people around town recognize you for hanging out in home depot.....

You are 4 months and change older than me, by the way.
